Sunrise at Cedar Ridge is special camp dedicated to introducing youth to deer hunting and the outdoors in general. More importantly, this camp is the fulfillment of a dying man's vision. Bill Baxter, Sr. died of cancer in February 2007 and left behind a 320- acre farm to Pheasants Forever, an organization that he had worked with and admired for many years. Bill Sr. wanted youth to be able to experience the outdoors as he and several generations of the Baxters had done. Not only did he want future generations of the Baxter's to have the same experience, but he also wanted other families to see and learn to love the outdoors as well. His dying wish was that his son, Bill Jr., would buy into the idea and help make his vision and long-term goals happen. Indeed, his dying wish has been fulfilled and is now known as Sunrise at Cedar Ridge.
